Babette has very recently come back to live in Dorset, however was too late to register for Dorset Arts Week. But they have very kindly agreed to a “pop up” show – all we needed was a venue! Isabel de Pelet generously offered up the Milking Parlour in Guggleton and the exhibition is go!

There will be an exhibition and sale of some of Babette’s best loved illustrations. There will be books, prints and cards on sale as well. Babette will be giving free readings, drawing with children and also running a workshop on Saturday 28th May and Saturday 4th June from 2-3pm, for students and children who want to learn how to write and illustrate a picture book.

If anyone would like to join us, you can contact us on 01747850066 or 07903932020 or email at babettecole9@gmail.com. Babette would be very pleased to look at anyone’s work and give an appraisal if they want to bring it along!

The opening show of the main gallery will be on Saturday 28th May from 12-2pm. Ben Marshall, auctioneer from Wooley and Wallis, will be there to auction off one of Babette’s original pieces to raise money for Children with Cancer, so please do come along and bid to raise money for this worthy cause!

The exhibition will be also showcasing Babette’s brand new illustrations for the 70th Anniversary Edition of Enid Blyton’s first ever book, Five on a Treasure Island. As the Famous Five was set around Corfe Castle in Devon, it was a great pleasure for Babette to work on this project and showcase her love for the area.
