Babette Cole will be exhibiting yet unseen original artworks from her children's books during Dorset Arts Weeks, from 24 May to 8 June at Osmond Farm, Holnest Park, near Sherborne, Dorset DT9 HA. These will include the popular 'The Trouble with Mum' [and with various other relatives] which are an hilarious take on family life, much-loved by readers of all ages.
Babette will be holding her famous Writing and Illustrating workshop on Saturday 24 May and again on Saturday 31 May, 2.30- 3.30pm: tickets £20, maximum 30 adults, must be booked and paid in advance on 01963 210655 or reply@babette-cole.com. Accommodation is available locally.
She will also be running a Funstuff! drawing and reading workshop for children on Tuesday 27 May 2.30–3.30 pm: free, but please book in advance as above.
To support the National Year of Reading, Babette will be making available her DVD on Writing and Illustrating a Children's Picture Book at a special reduced price of £15 and selected books for only £5 at the exhibition.
