The Book Bus (BUZ!)

Dear Everyone,
Another project I am working on to promote is Children's Literacy and Family Learning to acquire a BOOK BUZ!

This is a book bus that can travel around to local schools, playgrounds and housing estates in deprived areas promoting our cause.

As we know it is a sad publishing fact these days that many hard back picture books are being remaindered.

Children and parents could be benefiting from theses books.

It is my idea that we fill the buz up with remainders which will be for sale at very low cost. We also have visiting authors and illustrators on the BUZ to entertain the children with readings, drawing. workshops, puppets, music and all other related arts.

There is actually a lottery money grant available for such projects. My P.R. Manager, Roy Robinson, has put some facts and figures forward to get us started.

As next year is the National Year of Reading it would be a good promotion for picture books which, as we know, could do with some help in spreading the WORD!
